He is survived by: his daughters, Melanie Thomas and Melinda Nation (Tyrone); his grandchildren, Ean Nation of Birmingham, Alabama, Trey Nation of Birmingham, Alabama, Antwan Nation of Birmingham, Alabama and Elissa Nation of Birmingham, Alabama; his siblings-in-law, Annie Ruth Shaw, Louise Vincent (Ben), Maryann Williams (Eddie Hugh), Dora Askew, Lewis Sheperd (Peggy) and Aaron Sheperd (Mary); his niece Tabatha Lawrence (Carl); his cousins, Godfrey, Barbara Greenwood and Shirleye Greenwood; and his friends, Deacon Willie "Bo" Dunn, Deacon Johnny "Radio" Hill, Deacon Vernon "Tilo" Holloway and Aaron "Ekmo" Ross. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
