He is survived by: his siblings, Ben Rivers of Lanett, AL, Elijah Rivers of Lanett, AL, Jimmy Lee Rivers of Lanett, AL, Willie Rivers of Lanett, AL, Mary Peavy, Nancy Rivers, Bonnie Rivers and Jennell Ferrell. He is also survived by ten nieces, four nephews, and all of his cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). The lying in state was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (1006 N 10th Ave, Lanett, AL 36863). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Pine Hill Cemetery (2167 22nd St SW, Lanett, AL 36863).
