He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Weathers; his father Jimmy Harold Weathers, Sr.; and his grandparents, Milton, Eva Weathers, James Burtchett, Frances and Wesley Sumner.
He is survived by: his sons, Preston Cooper (Katy) and Justin Cooper; his mother Sarah Jane Weathers; his siblings, Brian Weathers (Melinda), Chris Hyche (Jimmie) and Tammy Weathers; and his grandchildren, Matthew Cooper and Kailand Cooper. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
