He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Durke Pelletier and Helen Lewis Pelletier; and his siblings, James Lewis Pelletier and Claire Louise Pelletier Tyndall. He is survived by: his wife Donna Lynn Fanning Pelletier of Lafayette; his sons, Michael David Pelletier (Sheri Toups Pelletier) of Milton, LA, Jeffrey Lewis Pelletier (Ginger Brenham Pelletier) of Trophy Club, TX and Charles Bennett Pelletier (Andrea Melancon Pelletier) of Scott, LA; his stepchildren, Stephanie Kimbell Maday (John Maday) of Celina, TX and Robert Lynn Kimbell (Kennedy Smith Kimbell) of Mandeville, LA; his grandchildren, Erin Robicheaux (Hunter), Michael Pelletier, II, Joshua Maday, Carly McCall (Brian), Jacob Maday, Justin Pelletier, Parker Pelletier, Grant Kimbell, Maegan Pelletier, Holden Pelletier, Rhett Kimbell and Ryan Pelletier; and his great grandchildren, Emily and Luke Robicheaux.
With regards to the most recent mandates and laws of the current pandemic, masks and social distancing are required for gatherings in the funeral home and cemetery.
He was the first Chief of Staff at Women and Children's Hospital in Lafayette, served as a board member of the hospital's Foundation and was a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
