Richard Delong Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2021, at the age of 74, Richard Delong of Lafayette, Alabama, born in Kansas City, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Wayne DeLong and Wanda Mae Hall Trent; his siblings, Fred Trent and Kathy; and his brother-in-law Eddie Spangler.
He is survived by: his wife Leslie Ann DeLong of Lafayette, LA; his stepson Brian Winder of Lafayette; his sister-in-law Patsy Trent of Glendale, AZ; and his sister Janet Trent of Harrisonville, MO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, comrades and friends.
In 2003, Richard was appointed to the board of the Veterans Assistance Foundation, and was a former member of the Veteran's Advisory Committee for the VA Medical Center in Alexandria, LA.
