It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ned Edward Burton (Lafayette, Alabama), who passed away on April 24, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ned Edward Burton to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Burton and Myrtis S. Burton of Abanda; his sister Nell Patterson (Grady); his grandmother F. Burton; and his wife Dovie T. Burton.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Edward Burton of Valley, Debra Burton Estby (Chris) of Advance, NC. and James Richard Burton of Lanett; his grandchildren, Christina Raiford (Derek), Christopher Ryan Estby, Matthew Burton Estby (Katie), Laurie Lyn Burton and James Mitchell Burton; his great grandchildren, Sky Raiford, Brenna Raiford and Treston Raiford; and his brothers, Frank Burton (Janice) of Dadeville, Durward Burton (Lee) of Hoover and Jack Burton of Camp Hill. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Given the current COVID-19 travel concerns, social distancing and out of concern for the safety and health of family and friends, a Private gravesite ceremony will be held.
In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations in his memory be made to First Baptist Church Lanett or to Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Camp Hill, Al.
