He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Baird Phillips and Melba Delois Malone Phillips; his brothers, Samuel Patrick "Pat" Phillips and James "Jim" Ruben Phillips; his nephew Sam Phillips; and his niece Ruth Phillips Guzman.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Quin Phillips of Lafayette, LA; his children, Robert "Kelly" Phillips and Michelle Leigh Phillips McNicoll (Kevin) of Baton Rouge, LA; his grandsons, Andrew McNicoll (Ashtin) of Baton Rouge and Lucas McNicoll of Baton Rouge; his great grandchild Sebastian McNicoll of Baton Rouge; and his siblings-in-law, Ed McKee of Bossier City, LA and Cindy Phillips of Begley, WV. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
