He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Kenneth Kirkwood and Sarah Spratling Kirkwood; his wife Alice Ann Pozorski Kirkwood; his sons, Kenneth, Jr. and Everett H. Kirkwood; his sisters, Sarah "Pat" Kirkwood Lodge and Miriam Ann Kirkwood Syler; his daughter Nancy Ann Kirkwood; his daughter-in-law Deborah S. Kirkwood; his granddaughters, Sarah Kandell Rhodes and Tanya Kirkwood Thur (John); and his grandmother Heath. He was also cherished by four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.
Memorials may be made to the Food Bank of East Alabama or the Lee County Humane Society.
