It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Marc Buford (Lafayette, Alabama), born in New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on December 13, 2019, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marc William Buford and Patricia Ruth LaCour Buford. He is survived by: his cousin John Fischer of San Antonio, TX; his wife Ranette Dugas Buford of Lafayette; his son Thorne Mykel Douet (Chelsea) of New Iberia; his sister Nancy Buford Wenig (David LeClair) of Denver, CO; his grandson Tatum Mykel Douet of New Iberia; his nephew Samuel Buford Wenig of Denver, CO; his nieces, Abigail Ruth Wenig and Sadie Addison LeClair; his father-in-law Jim Dugas; and also, Todd Day of Lafayette and Mary Smith Dugas of Lafayette. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
