He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roy Sanders and Mildred Yancey Sanders; his wife Mary Davis Sanders; his siblings, Danny Sanders and June Dye Warmack; and his niece Debbie Dye Gandy.
He is survived by: his sister Margie Sanders Crews; his stepchildren, Robert P. Gay, Jr (Connie) and Jonee Moreman; his nephew Bill Dye (Shannan); and his grandchildren, Kelli Nicole Gay Benedict, Robert E. Gay (Lucy), Whitney Nelson (Curt) and Haywood Davis Lambert (Courtney). He is also survived by 4 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
