Carr of LaFayette, AL; his grandchildren, Joshalyn Tolbert of Opelika, AL, Laqweta Carr of Atlanta, GA, Maurice Brooks of LaFayette, AL, Rodney Carr of Atlanta, GA and Termaine Carr of Atlanta, GA; his nieces, Autry Hardnett of LaFayette, AL, Andrea Linson of LaFayette, AL, Sebrisha Hardnett of LaFayette, AL and Amanda Durham of LaFayette, AL; and also Norman King. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). The lying in state was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Greater Poplar Spring Baptist Church (3263 Co Rd 98, La Fayette, AL 36862). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at the Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery (402 B St, La Fayette, AL 36862).
