He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Sanders and Elbert Potts; his grandparents, W. P. Barber, Sr. and Jeptha Potts; and his brother Barber Potts.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sue Hanners; his daughters, Regina Sanders and Amy Fulghum; his grandchildren, Rachel Belser (DJ Belser), Brittney Fulghum, Alan Sanders and Matthew Fulghum; his great grandchild Annalove Grace Belser; his brothers, Chris Potts (Sheila), Tim Sanders (Brenda) and Tony Sanders; and also, Ron Sanders and Greg Fulghum. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
