It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ada Francis White of LaFayette, Alabama, who passed away on December 7, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her son Phillip White, III; her granddaughters, Faye Abner (James) of LaFayette, AL and May Magby (Julian) of LaFayette, AL; her sons, Holloway, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Emerson Williams (Genise) of LaFayette, AL; her sister Susie B. Huguley of LaFayette, AL; her siblings-in-law, Frank James Presley of Penton, AL, Esther Williams of Lanett, AL and Elizabeth Carwell Holloway of LaFayette, AL; her nieces, Betty Hill of Tuscaloosa, AL and Debra Lacatra (Ventura County) of Southern California; and her daughter-in-law Lela Patten. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). The lying in state was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church (11322 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, La Fayette, AL 36862). A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Finley Cemetery.
