He is survived by: his sons, Virgil Braxton VanSandt Jr. (Debra) and Forrest VanSandt (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Steven VanSandt, Cynthia Bradford, Kelly Longberg, Allen VanSandt, Jesse Clanton and Daniel Clanton. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
