He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Burt and Louena Burt; and his brothers, Gordon Burt, Edgar Burt and Raymond Burt.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Murray Burt; his children, Timothy Burt (Tami) of Monroe, Georgia and DeAnn Collins (Tim) of Lacey's Spring; his grandchildren, Moriah Newton (Daniel), Ethan Collins (Lindsey) and Holly Collins; his siblings, Nan Huston, Maydean Holley (John), Martha Fowler (Jim) and Hillman Burt (Deloris); and his sister-in-law Elaine Burt.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the building fund at Bethlehem Baptist Church (PO Box 27, Lacey's Spring, AL 35754).
