With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelda Smallwood Stidger of Laceys Spring, Alabama, who passed away on February 8, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke Smallwood and Lillie Mae Smallwood; and her nephew Bruce Smallwood (Everett D. Stidger). She is survived by: her daughter Kari Allisa Stidger of Lacey's Spring, AL; her nieces and nephews, Julie Smallwood Figurski of Lampasas, TX, Karen Blackmon of Jerome Idaho, Cheryl Ann Bryson of California, Jeffrey Smallwood and Jim Smallwood of Jerome, ID; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Amy Figurski of College Station, TX, Anna Figurski of Lampasas, TX, Emily Ruth Jackson (Cameron) of Fowlerville, MI, Alan Figurski (Falon) of Lampasas, TX, Aric Figurski (Annie) of Brady, TX and Jesse Luke Smallwood of Fowlerville, MI; and also, Maeve, Zane Figurski of Lampasas, TX, Lucy Figurski of Brady, TX, Marley Mae Jackson of Fowlerville, MI, Boone, Aiden and Ronan Jackson of Fowlerville Michigan.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Red Oak Grove Church. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made to the North Alabama Food Pantry, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Parkinson's Foundation.
