He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Oakes (DeWayne Sloan); his brother Eugene Oakes; his grandchildren, Damion Sloan and Haillie Sloan; his great grandchild Oakley Sloan; and his nieces, Marian Miller and Lisa Parrish (Marston).
