He was predeceased by: his wife Olene Baker of Virginia; his parents, Robert Posie Baker and Bessie Mitchel Baker; his brothers, William Robert "Herman" Baker, Omar Baker, Fredrich Lee "Bub" Baker, Ernie Thomas "Toot" Baker and Jack Gardner Baker; and his daughter-in-law Rita Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Smiley Baker, Kay Maples (Sammy Ikard), Steve Baker (Denea Marie), Rita Fay Mahan (Bill), Marty Robert Baker (Beula) and Danny Lee Baker (Jerry); and his close friends, LeeAnn, Jeff Catrett and Gary Floyd. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, and nine great, great grandchildren.
