We are sad to announce that on March 28, 2025, at the age of 73, Eugene Oakes (Laceys Spring, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, E. C. Oakes and Mary Oakes; his siblings, Gwenda Oakes Miller and Marc Oakes; and his niece Michelle Miller.

He is survived by: his nieces, Marian Miller, Lisa, Marston Parrish and Jennifer Oakes (Dewayne); and his grandchildren, Maranda Smart, Cody Thornberry, MaryEllen Bloodworth, Haille Sloan and Damion Sloan.

A graveside service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hough Cemetery (415 Hough Rd, Laceys Spring, AL 35754).
