She was predeceased by: her parents, Drayfus L. Williams and Lucy Jay Williams; her husband Alvie L. Avant; and her brother Billy Ray Williams (Peggy). She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Avant Ohnich; her son-in-law Robert E. Ohnich, Jr.; her grandson Robert E. Ohnich, III (Trey); and her brother Ronald T. Williams (Jonnie). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Free Will Baptist Church of Samson, the Alabama Kidney Foundation, or the Alabama Alzheimer's Association.
