She was predeceased by: her husband Alton L. Dean; and her parents, Mona Malloy Galloway and Arie Galloway. She is survived by: her children, Drusilla Goldman (Richard), Anthony Dean (Kim), Alton R. Dean, Samuel C. Dean (Renae) and Daryl W. Dean (Tracy); and her sister Nora Kirkland. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wyatt Funeral Home (1018 Florala Hwy, Opp, AL 36467). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Rhoades Cemetery (3656 AL-189, Kinston, AL 36453).
