We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2021, at the age of 92, Alvie Avant of Kinston, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Early Avant and Ola Mae Wise; and his siblings, Fred, Loicy, Elmer, Lennie Avant, Wayne Avant, Lona Belle Wise, Connie Ruth Cosby, Faye Lewis and Annie King.
He is survived by: his wife Johnnie Faye Avant; his daughter Melissa Avant Ohnich; his son-in-law Robert E. Ohnich, Jr.; and his grandson Robert E. Ohnich, III (Trey). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to First Free Will Baptist Church of Samson, the Alabama Kidney Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Association.
