With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Olin James of Kimberly, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Olin may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John James and Atha James; his brother Danny James; and his son Bob Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Frances; and his children, Sherry Wolfe (Carl), Terri Clark and Steve Patterson (Tammy). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home (2214 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
