He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oscar and Minnie Palmer Hill; his siblings, Bobby Hill, Ruth Seale and Levis Cook; and his daughter-in-law Cyndy Hill.

He is survived by: his wife Lorene Swindle Hill; his sons, Patrick Hill (Samantha), Jason Hill and Matthew Hill (Taylor); his sisters, Shelby Calhoun and Patricia Dundford; and his grandchildren, Alyx Hill, Graham Hill, Lillian Hill, Keagan Floyd, Jac Hill, Sam Hill, Finley Hill, Kate Hill, Mack Hill and Elijah Hill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
