She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmitt Phillip Clemmons and Emma Mae Hamner Clemmons; her son Charles David Cody; her grandson Tommy Wayne Tucker; and her siblings, Percy, Porter, Earlie, Unnamed, Katherine Truitt, Earline Stutts and Virgie Bradley.
She is survived by: her spouse Willie Patton "Bill" Cody; her children, Earnest Cody, Patton Jr., Kenneth Cody (Ramona), Jimmy Cody, Jewel Dean Jaynes, Judy Swinea (Ronald), Frances Tucker (Larry), Shirie Wisdom and Patricia Landers; and her brother James H. Clemmons. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
