He was predeceased by: his parents, Erma Maxwell Mays and James Vando Mays; his brother Donald Mays; and his great grandchild Martha Grace Oldham. He is survived by: his wife Hazel Lorene Mays; his daughters, Denise (Mike Hamner) and Amy (Troy Woodis); his sister Norma Jean Goode of Melbourne, Florida.; his grandchildren, Josh Hamner, Elizabeth Wade (Dustin), Kelsea Oldham (Logan), Grace Anne Hargrove (Braiton), Meredith Nicholson (Hunter), Mary Katherine Vanderpool (Will Thompson), Huston Woodis (Lindsey), Anna Grace Woodis and Max Vanderpool (Belle LouAllen); and his great grandchildren, Mary Emma Oldham, Liz-Anne Wade, Hayes Oldham, Penelope Hamner, Molly Margaret Oldham, Abra Hargrove, Mae Catherine Oldham, Hayden Hamner, McCartney Nicholson, Noel Hargrove and Collins Woodis.
