She was loved and cherished by many people including : her sons, Bradley Hamner of Huntsville, AL and Jordan Hamner (Kayla) of Killen, AL; her siblings, Greg Vermeire (Suzanne) of Decatur, AL and Cindi Meachum (Mike) of Michigan; her grandchildren, Cooper, Victoria, Tyler, Zayden and Wiley; her close friends, Sandra Wright and Connie Richardson; her parents, George Vermeire and Janet Becker Vermeire; her close friend Jeff McGuire; and her caregivers, Patsy, Tasha, Tonya, Amy, Monica, Kaitlyn, Brenda, Marie, Janet, Martha, Kaye, Anna and Sandra.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greenhill Funeral Home (8450 US-43, Florence, AL 35634). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Greenhill Funeral Home Chapel (8450 US-43, Florence, AL 35634).
