She was predeceased by: her son Michael Burgess; her parents, Silas Pinkney Taylor and Mary Ethel Lovelace Taylor; and her siblings, Harley Taylor of Mack Taylor, S. P, Clyde Taylor, Lucky Taylor, Terry Taylor, Lois Crumpton, Dot Foster and Bonnie Johnston.

She is survived by: her daughter Diana Burgess McMurtrey (Larry); her grandson Jeremy McMurtrey (Candace); and her great grandchild Jilian McMurtrey.
