He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Daniel Killen and Verda Lue Springer Killen; his wife Helen Lyons Killen; and his sons, Wade Killen and Ty Killen.

He is survived by: his son Jimmie Dale Killen of Savannah, TN; his siblings, Milton Killen of Florence, AL, Rose Robertson of Lexington, AL, Shirley Williams of Anderson, AL and Clethel Pettus of Lexington; his grandchildren, Vanessa Killen, Doug Killen (Myndi), Jamie Killen and Hailey Killen; his close friend Joyce Honeycutt; and his daughter-in-law Maria Killen. He is also survived by Several great-grandchildren.
