She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Hood and Agnes Blankenship Hood; and her siblings, Farris Hood (Arminda), Fay Hood (Louise), Howard Hood (Lorene), Jimmy Hood (Syble), Ruby White (Wallace), Clezelle Barkley (Wilford), Lorene Coker (Sam), Fannie Marie and Martha Frances Hood.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Minnelli (Tom) and Ricky Appleton (Debbie); her grandchildren, Todd Appleton (Misty), Scott Appleton, Sarah Lough (Nick) and Amy Martin (Tyler); and her great grandchildren, Zoie Appleton, Ty Appleton, Brooklyn Appleton, Maddox Appleton, Rosie Martin, William Martin, Heidi Lough and Graham Lough. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
