She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Amos Young and Eunice Merle Holmes Young; her husband William Penn Monroe; and her children, Timothy William Monroe and Susan H. Monroe.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Pam Monroe Pitt (John); her grandchildren, Kathryn M. Everett (Bryan), Bethany M. Owen (Travis) and Graham Monroe (Meredith); and her great grandchildren, James Owen, Drake Owen, Ivy Everett and Wilder Everett. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
