He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob LLoyd Ellis and Elizabeth Aust Ellis; his daughter Elaine Ellis; his brothers, Harold, Francis, Ernest LLoyd and Larry Ellis; and his son-in-law Mike Gutherie.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Patterson; and his children, Delores Gutherie and Steve Ellis (Nancy). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 8 great, great grandchildren.
