He was predeceased by: his parents, Almer Wesley Jones and Mamie Dora Green Jones; his wife Billie Frankie Kennedy-Jones; and his siblings, Marvin "Cub" Jones, Henry Wesley Jones and Edna Inez Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Melton Jones (Kelley) and Linda Gale Jones; and his sisters, Sarah Jones Moore and Christine Jones Powell (Delano "Brud"). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
