He was predeceased by: his wife Jimmie Lee Freeman; his sons, Mark and Mike Freeman; and his parents, Carl Freeman and Frances Braswell Freeman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Porterfield (Jimmy) and Pam Boatright. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
