He was predeceased by: his parents, Kossie Powell and Agnes Hicks Powell; and his granddaughter Brooklyn Powell. He is survived by: his wife Martha Jo Megginson-Powell of Jemison; his children, Carolyn Lucas (Benny) of Montevallo, Lynn Kelly (Ricky) of Hueytown, Ann Ham (Randy) of Dora and Dale Powell of Jacksonville, FL; his stepchildren, Joan Langston (Floyd), Joel Rush (Renee) and Jackie Ray Rush; his grandchildren, Jason Lucas (Michelle), Matthew Lucas (Kim), Christian Kelly (Lauren), Rachel Adair (Frank), Patrick Ham (Kristen), Madison Powell and Makenzi Powell; and his siblings, Devane Powell (Mary) of Birmingham, Shelby Sullivan of Orange Beach and Jane Sheffield of Grove Hill. He is also survived by 4 Step-Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren.
