He was predeceased by: his parents, Claudie Gothard and Kathleen Stephens Gothard; his brother Lonnie Gothard; his stepdaughters, Lisa and Lori Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Moore and Pamela Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Gothard of Jemison; his stepgrandson Raymond Russell of Braselton, GA; his stepgreat-grandson Hudson Tanner Russell of Braselton, GA; his nieces, Renay Driggers of Jemison and Leanne Medena of Jemison; his sons, Frankie Smith (Martie) of Jemison, Step-Nephews, Scott Moore, Gary Lee Moore and Robbie Moore; his siblings-in-law, Gary Moore (Joan) of Houston, TX, Sally Moore of Douglasville, GA and Nancy Gothard of Jemison; and his grandchild Taz.
