He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gilmore of Washington and Mary Wright Gilmore; and his granddaughter Inf. He is survived by: his wife Dawna Gilmore of Jemison; his sons, Aaron Gilmore of Panama City, FL and Jon Gilmore of Clanton; his stepsons, Billy Armstrong of Wichita Falls, TX, John Phillip Armstrong of Henrietta, NY and Ira Armstrong of Clanton; and his sisters, Audrey Mims of Clanton, Linda Davis of Clanton and Brenda G. Wyatt. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren.
