Mary Opal Gothard Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Opal Gothard of Jemison, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 8, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Mary has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Smith and Laura Posey Smith; her husband Frank Gothard; her children, Greg Gothard and Marilyn Hubbard; and her great grandchild Zander Wilson.

She is survived by: her granddaughters, Dee Dutton (Darrell) of Jemison and Holly Wilson (Zach) of Jemison; her great grandchildren, Harley Dutton and Oakleigh Wilson; and her son-in-law Charles Hubbard of Jemison.
