He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Wyatt Emfinger; his children, John Thomas "Tom" Emfinger and Christy Emfinger Walton (Chris); his grandchildren, Khloe and Cooper Walton; his brother Jimmie Lee Emfinger; and his stepbrother Walter Calvin Mathews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Zamora Shrine Temple Hospital Transportation Fund.
