He was predeceased by: his parents, Briggs Gibson and Dorothy Gibson; his wife Linda Gibson; and his brother Erskine Gibson. He is survived by: his children, Angie Townsend, Melanie Atchison (Wayne) and Greg Gibson (Donna); his grandchildren, Chris Atchison (Ashley), Austin Lucas (Kayla), Summer Puckett (Jordan), Sami Calhoun (Chris), Tori Waid (Beau) and Skyley Townsend; and his siblings, Briggs Lee Gibson (Bobbie), Benny Gibson (Stephanie), Timmy Gibson (Debbie), Sallie Hand (Ronald) and Wanda Lockhart (Eddie). He is also survived by 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (850 Co Rd 36, Jemison, AL 35085). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
