It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Ward of Jemison, Alabama, born in Felda, Florida, who passed away on November 28, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Lee McClelland and Thelma Louise Levins McClelland; her husbands, Jack Royal Elrod Sr. and Terry Ward; her sons, Steve Clayton Elrod and Jack Royal Elrod Jr.; and her siblings, William Richard McClelland, Charles Lee McClelland, Paul Clayton McClelland and Mary Inez Stone.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jackie Elrod Williams (Gary), Tara Ward and Susie Elrod; and her sisters, Rena Anderson (Gene), Dolly Anderson, Linda Snyder and JoAnne Cater. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
