Willodean Townsend Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willodean Townsend (Jasper, Alabama), who passed away on October 9, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rex Ansley Neely and Mell Zenia Gentry Neely; and her siblings, Owen Henry Neely, Johnny Milen Neely, Donald Lee Neely and Sara Annette Neely.

She is survived by: her husband James L. Townsend; her daughters, Lynne Whittington of Hoover, Tamara Matthews (Joe) of Jasper and Terri Walls (David) of Hoover; her grandchildren, Patrick Whittington, Lindsay Whittington (Josh), Amy Dill (Nick), Darcy Mosley (Taylor), Christian Matthews, Eli Matthews, Katie Stripling (Brad) and Allie McDuff (Brian); her great grandchildren, Hallie Lindsay, Jackson, Joshua Daniel, Carrly, Wyatt, Mack Dill, Oliver, Amelia, Abe Mosley, Bennett Stripling, Tucker, Max and Miller McDuff; and her siblings, Earlene Emerson, Edward Neely (Bobbie), Rexford Neely (Ann) and Larry Neely (Diane). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Jasper First United Methodist Church.
