She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Lay Jr.; her parents, Ed Herron and Dolly Herron; and her siblings, Arlene Bordon, Betty Gober, Maxine Herron and James Herron.
She is survived by: her children, David (Vickie), James (Kim) and Luann Ruth (Chris); her grandchildren, Amandelyn Sorrell (Eric), Kendall Lay, Colby Lay and Hannah Lay; and her sisters, Jo Woods, Peggy Marshall and Debra Pugh. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Collins-Burke Chapel (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504).
