He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Kirkwood Cheatham and Edward Taylor Cheatham, Sr.; his siblings, Betty Clem Noriega and Edward Taylor Cheatham, Jr.; and his nephew Michael Noriega.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Underwood Cheatham of Jasper; his children, Stephanie Cheatham of Jasper and Chris Cheatham of Jasper; his grandchildren, Aubrey Caroline Hudson, Travis Hudson and Molly Daniel; and his great grandchild Cooper Daniel.
