She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lee Brown Jr. and Beulah Scruggs Brown; her former husband Lieutenant William Thomas Cain; her son William Thomas "Tommy" Cain Simmons; and her grandson Jonathan "Cain" Carter.

She is survived by: her friend Buddy Roberts; her daughter Leigh S. Carter (Jon); her great grandchild Ashton "Ash"; her husband Leonard L. "Buddy" Roberts; her stepchildren, Leonard L. "Robin" Roberts II (Carmen), Margaret Ann Saddler Corbett (late Mike Corbett) and Latham Green "Sandy" Saddler Jr. (Belle); her granddaughter Lauren Saddler Pearson (Andrew Pearson); her great grandchildren, Lily, Mary Cabell and Ware Pearson; her grandson Latham Greene Saddler III (Melissa); her great grandchildren, Latham IV and Marshall Saddler; and her grandson Stuart Ashby Saddler. She is also survived by cousins, extended family, and wonderful friends.
