With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Evelyn Jones (Jasper, Alabama), who passed away on January 23, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband William Dempsey Jones; and her parents, William Roy Wheeler and Annie Logan Wheeler of Columbus, Mississippi. She is survived by: her children, Rachel Jones Thomason (late Tom), Debbie Jones Morris (Richard) and William Dempsey Jones, Jr.; her sister Ann Wheeler Howton; her sisters-in-law, Josie Wheeler, Mary Wheeler and Janet Wheeler; and her grandchildren, Dr. Brad Morris (Jennifer), Beth Morris Soechting (Dustin), Jordan Jones (Annie) and Juliana Jones May (Jordan). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
