He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Wise and Betty Ruth Wise; his brothers, Donald, Jimmy and Jeff Wise; and his grandparents, Dewy Wise and Pearl Wise.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Wise; his children, Kathleen Busbee, Kellie Taylor (Denny) and Rob Wise (Trena); his grandchildren, T. J. Busbee, Hannah Taylor, Landon Taylor, Bella Wise, Rylee Wise and Christian Weaver; and his great grandchild John Robert Busbee.
