It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph Edward Gay of Jasper, Alabama, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Lay and Knolton Gay; his brother James H. Gay; and his grandparents, Oscar, Jenny Gay, Jess and Emma West.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Gay; his children, Timothy R. Gay (Glenda) and Lisa Reed; his grandchildren, Christy Chattom and Chad Edwards (Amber); his great grandchildren, Braxton Chattom, Addyson Edwards, Gavin Edwards and Ellianah Edwards; his sisters, Ann Busby, Linda Tingle, Glenda Thomas, Brenda Bentley, Sharon Warren and Charlotte Aaron; and his aunt Lois West. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
