She is survived by: her children, Jessica Shell and Jack Shell (Danielle); her sister Deborah Nix; her grandchildren, Morgan Hope Shell, Thomas and Gracelan Joy Shell; and her great grandchild Ezekiel Dean Ballenger.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
