Mary Gurganus Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Gurganus of Jasper, Alabama, who passed away on January 10, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Vile V. Gurganus; her daughters, Rhonda Jo Noah (Carl) and Denise Gilmore (Jeff); her grandson Adam Noah; her parents, Dale Holdbrooks and Lydia Holdbrooks; her siblings, Lorene Yarbrough (Aaron), Clara Mae Earl, Gail Armstrong (Bufford) and J. B. Holdbrooks (Mollie); and her brothers-in-law, Herb Jones, Bill Lawson and Malcom Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Prescott (Gary) of Nauvoo, AL, Marlin Douglas Gurganus (Donna) of Trafford, AL, Terry William Gurganus (Cathy) of Jasper, AL and Anthony Dwayne Gurganus (Libby) of Townley, AL; her siblings, Rosa Nell Martin of Haleyville, AL, Jeanette Lawson of Huntsville, AL, Wilburn Holdbrooks (Jo Nell) of Leeds, AL, Kenneth Holdbrooks (Marjorie) of Pleasant Grove, AL and Joseph Holdbrooks (Joan) of Cordova, AL; and her great great grandchild Host. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren.
